Increase Your Ph!

Did you know that cancer thrives in an acidic environment? Americans are suffering and dying from Cancer at an all time high and little is being done in prevention. The same high rate of cancer does not exist in other countries, where processed foods and eating behaviors are different.

What can you do about it? Nobody knows how to prevent cancer yet, but here are some interesting ideas to consider. PH is a chemical balance in our bodies and in every food, that ranges on a scale from 1 to 14 - 1 being very acidic and 14 being very alkaline, but neither end of this spectrum is good for humans. A pH of 7 is neutral and the human body functions best between a pH level of 7 to 8. There are many small test strips you can buy and carry with you to test your pH, and to test the foods and liquids you are considering eating - I carry them everywhere! There are also drops and water filters that will immediately turn your tap water and liquids from acidic to a high pH. for a large variety of options.

Curious what foods are the most acidic and bad for you? Not surprisingly, sugar, which is only found in small quantities in natural food diets, but is incredibly acidic in our body. Sugar is a major contributor of unhealthiness in the US, including increased cancer and diabetes. Surprisingly, the most acidic food on the pH food chart is rice. Rice is a starchy material that turns to sugar in our system, making it very unhealthy for us. I know... :/

Wonder what the most alkaline of all food is? You may be surprised to know that cucumber is rated the highest on the pH food chart, closely followed by dandelion, black radish and fig.
